Meet Georgia
Hi, I’m Georgia.
I’m a Career Mentor at Connecting Futures, and my pronouns are they/them. I’m passionate about supporting young people to build their skills, grow their confidence, and work towards sustainable employment that actually feels right for them.
I really believe in the idea of not judging a fish by its ability to climb a tree. Everyone has different strengths, and my role is about helping participants discover what they’re good at and how that can translate into work or learning. I have a strong interest in supporting LGBTQIA+ participants, as well as young people with mental illness, autism, and ADHD.
I chose this role because I love supporting people who’ve faced similar barriers to the ones I experienced as a young person. I’m grateful to be part of a service that works with workplaces to become more inclusive, and I’m driven by helping participants feel empowered to explore what they’re genuinely passionate about.
Outside of work, I love playing Baldur’s Gate 3 and Dungeons & Dragons, gaming with my family, and spending time with my cat. I’m always happy to show photos if you ask.
